In 2007, ONMEX ranked 10th among 54 exchanges worldwide in terms of trading volume making ONMEX the largest commodity exchange in. Trading volume remained steady in 2012 with over 480 million contracts traded. As 2012 drew to a close, ONMEX's member companies reached 188, its designated delivery storage facilities amounted to 83 and it attracted 12,000,000 investors from all continents. ONMEX has been playing an important role in commodity price discovery, protecting the interests of traders by offering risk management tools and providing guidance for trading.
